Puppies, plus we went to the pool today for the first time

The puppies will be 3 months old on the 17th, just a few days away. They are huge to us, and seem to have doubled their sizes in the last week. This is Boss, and tonight he tipped the scale at 33 pounds. Notice the shoes are out of their range at this point, but only because the floor is still more interesting to them than is "up".

R.J. is very cute, this is my new desktop. He only weighed 29 pounds, but it's because he lacks muscle, I"m sure. He's the first one to "quit" on the short walks on leashes. Just tonight, Kevin walked them and said how well they were doing and suddenly after they were in the garage it felt like one of them suddenly pulled in another direction. When he looked behind him, it was just R.J. sprawled on the floor, letting the leash drag him over the garage floor. Dramatic. Typical for him, though.

The dogs let Lucy read to them whenever she wants. They have already figured out that she is the smallest and try to be careful around her in their bumbling, clumsy, puppy manners. At least when they knock her down, it is unintentionally and they don't scratch her or maul her while she's down. She has learned some new phrases: "Boss! No,No!", "'top it!" (stop it), and I'm afraid she'll pick up on a few more soon. Just like Simon learned "Sup up soopid dog!" when he was about this age.
